Unstable cast: Who’s in the Netflix series?

Rob Lowe is mostly known for dramatic roles when it comes to his film and television profile, but the actor also more than proved he fits right into the comedic world when he starred as Chris Traeger in NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. And now, he’s back to another comedy project, Unstable!

The half-hour, eight-episode series premieres Thursday, March 30, 2023, on Netflix. The story follows Ellis Dragon, a “universally admired, eccentric, narcissist-adjacent” biotech businessman who is working in the hopes of making the world a better place.

While he’s successful with his career, he’s unfortunately estranged from his son Jackson whose personality is the complete opposite. When his father needs some help at the company, Jackson steps in. But will he be able to escape the large shadow of his dad’s big personality?

Who does Rob Lowe play?

Lowe takes on the role of the eccentric biotech scientist and entrepreneur Ellis in the show. After his wife passed away, it’s been hard for him to regain focus, per Netflix. So that means the actor is taking on the co-leading role in the comedy. Most recently, he’s done more dramas so it will be nice to see him in a more lighthearted role again!

So who else joins Lowe onscreen in the Netflix series? There’s someone very special that we’re excited to see. And that’s his real-life son, John Owen Lowe! The two will also play father and son in the show, which means John portrays Jackson Dragon. The young actor has starred in the FOX series The Grinder, as well as the movie Holiday in the Wild. • Rachel Marsh as Luna Castillo, a biotech genius who is shy and awkward.
• Sian Clifford as Anna Bennet, the Dragon company’s smart and tough who is trying to keep the company together since Ellis’ “emotional spiral.”
