Rob Lowe is such a talented actor! We’ve loved him since his role as Sodapop Curtis in The Outsiders, Captain Owen Strand in FOX’s 9-1-1: Lone Star, and Chris Traeger in NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. His role in Parks and Rec was my favorite as the star brought something new and fresh to the comedy. In the actor’s latest project, Unstable on Netflix, he’s channeling his inner Chris to portray the unique character!

Lowe plays successful and “larger-than-life” biotech businessman Ellis Dragon in Unstable. The eccentric entrepreneur needs some help at work, and his much more reserved estranged son Jackson Dragon decides to do so at the Dragon company. Can the two restore their father-son relationship?

Sound interesting? Are you ready to check out the comedy? How much time will you need to set aside to watch the series? We’ve got the answer for you below!

How many episodes is Rob Lowe in?

With Lowe taking on the central character role, he should be in the entire season that Netflix ordered. How many episodes does that entail?

How many episodes is Unstable season 1?

The show has eight half-hour episodes for your viewing pleasure! The nice thing about the shorter run times is that they’re easy to get through. I mean, we professional binge-watchers would have no problem either way. But our watch list is long, so it’s always nice when we can get through production quickly!

Joining Rob Lowe onscreen as his son in the series is the actor’s real-life son John Owen Lowe as Jackson. How fun is that!? Sian Clifford, Aaron Branch, Emma Ferreira, Rachel Marsh, and Fred Armisen round out the cast.

Unstable premieres Thursday, March 30, 2023, with all eight episodes on Netflix.
