The Big C is a dramedy created by Darlene Hunt. It premiered on Showtime in August 2010 and had a series run of four seasons, with the final season airing from April 2013 to May 2013.

The show follows Cathy (Laura Linney), a middle-aged suburban wife and mother living in Minneapolis, who after finding out she has melanoma, decides to live her life to the fullest and make the most of her remaining days. Gabriel Basso plays Adam, Cathy’s teenage son who deals with typical teenage problems while also dealing with his mother’s cancer diagnosis.

The rest of the cast includes Oliver Platt, John Benjamin Hickey, Gabourey Sidibe, Phyllis Somerville, and many others.
