Squid Game season 2

Everyone’s waiting on Squid Game season 2 to come to Netflix! According to an interview creator Hwang Dong-hyuk did with The Hollywood Reporter back in August 2022, he planned on finishing the scripts for the second season by the end of 2022 or early 2023. He also mentioned in an earlier interview with IndieWire that Squid Game season 2 could arrive in late 2023 or early 2024.

Obviously, we would like to see the second season sooner rather than later, so a late 2023 release is what we’re hoping for. But a 2024 release looks more likely. Of course, it all depends on when production starts on season 2. And as of Feb. 9, filming has not begun.

Principal photography will probably start sometime this year and take about four to five months. After that, the post-production process will be what takes the longest. It took 10 months of post-production before the first season landed on Netflix. If it takes 10 months of post-production for the second season, we won’t be seeing it until 2024. It’s important to remember that Hwang Dong-hyuk is also working on other projects, so this could be why we don’t see the second season until 2024. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
