Jason Carver

Jason Carver, basketball star and Mr. Popular of Hawkins High, was definitely doomed from the first episode of Stranger Things season 4. Jason was a major thorn in the side of the heroes of Hawkins throughout the season.

After his girlfriend, Chrissy (Grace Van Dien), was killed, Jason made it his mission to find Eddie (Joseph Quinn), who was accused of killing Chrissy. He almost derailed the whole plan to stop Vecna, too, by interrupting Max as she let Vecna in to her mind for the epic battle.

Lucas beats up Jason, which was honestly a long time coming, but it’s too late. Max, basically, dies, which completes Vecna’s plan and opens a major hole in Hawkins. Jason is split in half during the Upside Down’s expansion.

Did he deserve it? Probably for being so insufferable, but it’s obviously another loss for a community that seen way too much of it during such a short amount of time.

Unlike some of the characters on this list, Jason is not one of the characters that fans think has any chance of a return in season 5.
