It’s time to celebrate because today, we’re reunited with the Pogues! All 10 episodes of Outer Banks season 3 have debuted on Netflix and we have no doubt fans stayed up late to start watching. This time around, our favorite characters are back and they are facing new threats as John B (Chase Stokes) and his father Big John (Charles Halford) try to find buried treasure.

There are new characters, new romances, and of course, new feuds. Every Pogue goes through a bit of drama, expectedly, with Kiara (Madison Bailey) having more issues with her parents.

As fans will remember, Kiara comes from a Kook family even though she identifies as a Pogue, and her parents do not approve of her way of life. She’s never home, she never follows their rules, and they’re worried sick about her at all times. When the Pogues return to the OBX in Outer Banks season 3, Kiara’s parents don’t want her out of their sight. But of course, that doesn’t exactly go as planned.

Spoilers for Outer Banks season 3 ahead.

Kiara continues acting out in her parents’ eyes as she spends time with the Pogues and helps out in their various adventures. Eventually, her parents feel like they have no choice but to send her to a nature camp for misbehaving children called Kitty Hawk. When Kiara arrives home one day, there are men waiting for her who ambush her and escort her to their car. They’re from Kitty Hawk, ready to take her to the camp.

Understandably, Kiara is distraught, especially because the Pogues are heading to South America to go save Big John. Fortunately, Kiara has JJ (Rudy Pankow), who won’t stop until he finds Kitty Hawk and sneaks her out of there. If you’re watching Outer Banks right now and are wondering if this camp is a real place, we have all the answers you need!

Is Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks real?

Yes and no. While Kitty Hawk is a real location in Outer Banks, North Carolina, we could not find any information indicating that there is a real-life camp for disobedient children. There’s a Kitty Hawk RV Park, a Kitty Hawk Kayak & Surf School, and other really fun-looking Kitty Hawk tours, but it doesn’t look like there’s anything similar to where Kiara was shipped off to.

In Outer Banks season 3, JJ is able to get Kiara out of Kitty Hawk and they eventually reunite with the rest of the Pogues. Her parents won’t be happy about it, but Kiara and JJ do get together, finally, after sharing professing their love and sharing a kiss.
