The two seem closer than friends, prompting fans to theorize that the two may be a couple. However, sadly, these theories have no truth to them as they are simply just very good friends.

According to J-14, Starkey may have subconsciously hinted at what his and A’zion’s relationship is by describing the relationship between their respective characters from the 2022 film.

“The relationship between the two kind of goes along with the theme of desire and temptation,” Starkey wrote. “What you want in your life or what you desire, ultimately the further you go into it, it just hurts you more and more. It was really fun to play.”
