Beef on Netflix release date, cast, synopsis, photos, trailer, and more

Steven Yeun is returning to our television screens very soon, and we could not be more thrilled about his latest project. A24’s dark comedy series Beef will co-star Yeun and Tuca & Bertie alum Ali Wong, who stars in Netflix projects like Human Resources and Always Be My Maybe. She also has multiple stand-up specials on the service.

Consisting of 10 episodes, Beef is advertised as a darkly comedic tale of two people feuding with one another over a road rage incident. Yeun and Wong will square off as Danny Cho, a struggling contractor, and Amy Lau, a self-made businesswoman seemingly living a picture-perfect life. The class disparity between the pair certainly appears to play into the rivalry.

After the altercation on the road, Danny and Amy try getting revenge on one another and that gradually snowballs as their fight becomes downright dangerous. Beef comes from Dave and Silicon Valley writer Lee Sung Jin. In addition to his acting duties, Yeun will produce under his production company Universal Remote. Wong is also producing.

"BEEF follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers. Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series."
