First Kill

A cancellation that personally hit me the hardest was First Kill. After only one season, the streaming giant axed the supernatural teen drama in August 2022. Like Warrior NunFirst Kill reportedly “did not meet thresholds for viewing and completion of episodes.” However, many fans would argue that poor marketing played a part in low viewership numbers. This also happened with Warrior Nun. Regardless of the cancellation, fans are still doing everything they can to save the show, and you have to respect that!

The Umbrella Academy

After another successful season, The Umbrella Academy was renewed for a fourth and final season in August 2022. However, the superhero series may not return with its final season in 2023 due to not being finished with the filmmaking process in time.

Production started on Feb. 6 and is rumored to wrap as early as May. But it’s unknown how long the post-production process will take. The Umbrella Academy is another one of Netflix’s special effects-heavy shows, so this could be the reason the final season’s release gets pushed into early 2024. However, since the final season will only have six episodes instead of 10, this could shorten the time needed in post-production and make a late 2023 release possible. We’ll just have to wait and see. But for now, expect The Umbrella Academy season 4 to come out in early 2024.
