Diane Morgan is back as Philomena Cunk in yet another hilarious mockumentary series coming to Netflix on Jan. 31. In Cunk on Earth, Philomena invites viewers to learn about how far human civilization has progressed (or not) since the dawn of time.

For those unfamiliar, the character of Philomena Cunk was first created by Black Mirror‘s own Charlie Brooker as part of several skits in his British television weekly review program Weekly Wipe. Since then, Cunk has taken on a life of her own, thanks in no small part to Morgan’s hilariously deadpan and irreverent portrayal.

Cunk on Earth is the continuation of the witty mockumentary that started with Cunk on Britain. While it was technically released on the BBC in 2022, the Netflix debut will introduce the six-part series to an international audience.

Cunk on Earth Netflix release date

Cunk on Earth is finally coming to Netflix on Tuesday, Jan. 31. You can start watching all six episodes of the hilarious mockumentary at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET.

What is Cunk on Earth about?

In this follow-up to Cunk on Britain, Philomena Cunk travels across the globe in search of humanity’s earliest moments. She explains the Renaissance, the pyramids, how the first societies were formed, and much more in her hilarious deadpan style.

Is Cunk on Britain on Netflix?

Before Cunk on Earth, Diane Morgan produced Cunk on Britain, showcasing Philomena Cunk’s attempt to explain the history of Great Britain, despite not knowing a thing about it. Unfortunately, Cunk on Britain isn’t streaming on Netflix right now, and it’s not easy to watch if you’re living in the United States. Maybe Netflix will add it at some point in the future.

Cunk on Earth releases on Tuesday, Jan. 31, on Netflix. Add the series to your Netflix watchlist now.
