There’s a new comedy on the way, and we think it has the potential to be great! Shrinking, starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, is definitely on our watch list. Can you stream the series on Netflix?

It’s so exciting that Ford is a part of this project, as this will be one of the actor’s first major television roles! He stars as Dr. Paul Rhodes, with Segel playing the lead role of Jimmy. The two are joined by Christa Miller as Liz, Jessica Williams as Gaby, Michael Urie as Brian, Luke Tennie as Sean, and Lukita Maxwell onscreen.

Behind the scenes, Segel takes on writing and executive producing duties. Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein also wrote, and executive produced the series. All three men are listed as its creators. So who made the show, and where can you watch it? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Is Shrinking streaming on Netflix?

I’m sorry Netflix viewers! If you were hoping the new series would be streaming on Netflix, the show, unfortunately, won’t be. The comedy is an Apple TV Original, meaning it will stream exclusively on Apple TV+.

Shrinking will release its first two episodes on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023. After that, one new episode will be released weekly on Apple TV+. There are a total of 10 episodes. If you’re not subscribed to the streaming service and want to check out the show, you can do so for $6.99/month.

The series follows Jimmy (Segel), a therapist who has just lost his wife. He’s trying to be a dad, friend, and therapist but is struggling to do so, per the synopsis. Because of this, he decides to take a new approach: provide “unfiltered, brutal honesty” with anyone he talks to—including his clients.

Shrinking premieres Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, on Apple TV+.
