Lisa Robin Kelly

Lisa Robin Kelly was the first actress to play the role of Laurie Forman. There was a recurring theme with Laurie as the promiscuous daughter. While she was daddy’s little girl for a long time, he soon wisened up to her ways. Of course, she ultimately became pregnant.

Another running theme was how she’d pop in and out. In the sixth season, there was even a mention of whether anyone had seen her recently.

Lisa Robin Kelly left the series, later admitting that she had a drinking problem. She did go on to do two more acting roles, but she was later arrested for driving under the influence and then on a felony corporal injury charge. On Aug. 15, 2013, Lisa died shortly after going into rehab for her drinking and drug problems. She died of an overdose on multiple drugs and her husband later filed a lawsuit against the center claiming negligence.

Christina Moore

After the exit of Lisa from the series, Laurie wasn’t seen for another 47 episodes and wasn’t even mentioned for 43. There was talk of her coming back into the sixth season for 13 episodes, but that was later reduced to six with a change of actress. Christina Moore took on the role.

When her time on the show ended, she took on a number of different projects. Some of her most well-known roles have been Emerson Ives in Hot Properties, Suzanne McKittrick in True Blood, and Tracy Clark in the 90210 reboot.

Most recently, she played Mandy Heiser in Claws. She also has a number of projects in various stages of production, including the role of Jessie Lansing Dickson in Lady Driver. In 2022, Moore starred in the hit Netflix romantic comedy I Believe in Santa.
