We’re still very early into the year, but Netflix has already released a couple of excellent new original shows this year, including Outer Banks, You, The Glory, and more. There are many more great Netflix shows to come in 2023, between exciting new series and returning favorites, but we’re highlighting the great Netflix Originals that have kicked off the year.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 2

The Lincoln Lawyer was a surprise success when season 1 dropped in 2022, so fans have been avidly waiting for the show’s return for over a year. Season 2 is based on the Michael Connelly book The Fifth Witness and focuses on a new case.

It takes a couple of episodes for season 2 to get going, as the first few episodes are primarily devoted to wrapping up the first season’s case involving the mysterious tattooed guy we saw watching Mickey at the end of the first season.

But once things get going and the season 2 case is underway, the show picks up the pace. Once Upon a Time star Lana Parilla enters season 2 as one of the main players. Mickey and Lana’s character Lisa Trammel hit it off when they first meet, and then Mickey ends up having to be Lisa’s attorney when she is accused of murder.

Only the first half of the season has been released so far, but the second season is off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see what happens in part 2, which premieres on August 3. The first part of the season includes a couple of twists, so we’re sure more surprises are on the way.
