You’ll soon be enthralled by several addictive and immersive Netflix fantasy shows when Netflix releases the highly-anticipated new seasons of Sweet Tooth, The Witcher, and more.

There are several Netflix fantasy shows out there and many more in production. Still, since fantasy shows can be more expensive, it’s not often we see those shows continue for multiple seasons unless they do really well. The good news is 2023 is going to bring us a lot of returning shows and at least one series that people have been dying to see for several years now!

Netflix fantasy shows coming in 2023

These are the best Netflix fantasy shows coming in 2023, including Shadow and Bone, The Witcher, and more.

Sweet Tooth season 2

Based on the popular comic book of the same name, Sweet Tooth is a heartwarming fantasy series following the half-boy, half-deer boy Gus and his friends on an epic adventure.

Netflix has not announced the release date yet, but the series is expected to return early in 2023, so it shouldn’t be long before fans can see what happens next! Since we left off with Gus getting kidnapped, fans are eager to find out if he’ll get rescued. It has been a long wait since the first season dropped back in 2021, so the sooner, the better!

Shadow and Bone season 2, Shadow and Bone season 2 is not coming to Netflix in January 2023

Shadow and Bone season 2

Get ready to see the return of Alina, Mal, Kaz, and more of your favorite characters when Shadow and Bone finally returns this March. The new season premieres on Mar. 16. With Alina on the run, things are more tense and dangerous than ever. Expect to see the Crows reunite once again for a deadly heist. The sophomore season will adapt the second and third books of the Grishaverse trilogy by Leigh Bardugo while also incorporating more elements from the Six of Crows duology.

The Witcher season 3

When we left off with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, they were going into hiding, and Yennefer had been entrusted to help with Ciri’s training. The show’s third season will be based on the second novel in the book series, Time of Contempt. It’s also notable because this season will mark Henry Cavill’s last as Geralt before Liam Hemsworth replaces him in season 4. The third season does not have a set release date yet, but we do know that it’s going to come out this summer.

Arcane season 2

Arcane is a top-rated animated series set in the League of Legends universe. The show was so popular it broke several Netflix viewership records within its first week of debuting. A second season is coming sometime this year.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an upcoming live-action adaptation that fans have been eager for a long time. The series is supposed to come to Netflix in the second half of 2023. Avatar is set in the war-torn Asiatic period and follows people who can “bend” various elements like fire, water, air, and earth. The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Daniel Dae-Kim, Dallas Liu, Danny Pudi, Arden Cho, Kiawentiio, and more.
