We have exciting news to share about the best Netflix series currently streamingVarious sources have reported that the Stranger Things cast will receive a massive pay raise for the upcoming fifth and final season. We shared all the juicy details right below!

News of the Stranger Things cast receiving a considerable pay bump for the fifth season isn’t surprising at all. Stranger Things is Netflix’s most-watched show, and it only becomes more popular with each season. So, the sci-fi series makes the streamer a lot of money. Also, with this being the last season, it makes sense why the cast would be bringing home bigger paychecks.

We still have quite a while before Stranger Things season 5 makes its way to Netflix, with production rumored to start mid-May, followed by a lengthy post-production process. So, unfortunately, we most likely won’t get to see the final season in 2023. In fact, it’s expected to come out in 2024.

Although this is sad news, the Duffer Brothers and the cast have constantly been sharing new information about the upcoming season to hold us over. We can’t wait to finally set out eyes on the final season and see how everything wraps up!

Stranger Things cast will receive huge pay bump for Stranger Things season 5

According to Puck News, Netflix created four separate tiers with which to negotiate.

  • Tier 1: Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers) and David Harbour (Jim Hopper) are included in this tier and will receive $9.5 million each for the fifth season.
  • Tier 2:  Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Noah Schnapp (Will), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Sadie Sink (Max) are included in this tier and will receive just over $7 million each for the fifth season.
  • Tier 3: Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Maya Hawke (Robin), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), and Joe Keery (Steve) are included in this tier and will receive just over $6 million each for the fifth season.
  • Tier 4: Everybody else in the cast that wasn’t mentioned above (not including Millie Bobby Brown) will reportedly receive much less. It’s unclear what amount is “much less,” but it must be a significant difference.

Unsurprisingly, breakout star Millie Bobby Brown is in her own tier and has a separate overall deal with Netflix, including the popular Enola Holmes movies and the upcoming Russo brothers’ sci-fi film The Electric State.

And we can’t forget about the Stranger Things cast Instagram earnings! They’re making a lot of money off Instagram alone.
