Sex Education season 4 latest updates (January 2023)

We’re more than ready to check back in with the students and staff of Moordale High School. When will Sex Education season 4 come to Netflix?

All eyes are on the arrival of Sex Education season 4. There’s no doubt that it’s one of the best shows on Netflix, but there is a chance that this is the final season. There are some major cast changes already, and there’s only so long the actors can keep playing high school students. These types of shows are never the same when the characters go off to college (or university since this is set in the UK).

The good news is filming for the season started last summer. The bad news is we’re still waiting for a release date. The show is definitely not on the list of January 2023 releases on Netflix, which wasn’t surprising when you consider there’s no trailer yet.

When will Sex Education season 4 come to Netflix?

With filming starting last summer, there is a chance we’ll get to see the fourth season sometime in 2023. This is a show that doesn’t take too long to film, and post-production is nothing like the scale of the likes of Shadow and Bone and The Witcher. This helps to keep the wait to a minimum.

Things are changing for the characters. For one, Maeve isn’t going to be with the group for at least some of the season. She is getting to go to the U.S., and why wouldn’t she take up that opportunity? Cosmopolitan even hints to the move with Aimee Lou Wood saying that Aimee finds herself at school without her best friend—and Maeve was that friend.

Filming is still expected to continue until February 2023, according to Digital Spy. We’ll know more then about when we could expect the season, but we’re looking at fall 2023 at the earliest.
