My Unorthodox Life season 3: Will there be a third season on Netflix?

If you’re looking for a reality show on Netflix to become obsessed with, the second season of the hit series My Unorthodox Life started streaming at the top of December. The new season sent the series straight to the top 10 and has fans wondering about My Unorthodox Life season 3.

The series, which first premiered on Netflix in July 2021, centers on the life and career of Julia Haart, as she and her family adapt their former ultra-Orthodox Jewish lifestyle to one that’s non-religious in Manhattan. In season 2, the series traces the changes surrounding Haart’s life, including her divorce and removal as CEO of her modeling agency Elite World and fashion line La Perla.

My Unorthodox Life also follows the lives of Haart’s ex-husband Silvio Scaglia and her four children Batsheva, Shlomo, Miriam, and Aron. While the series has become a hit with viewers and started conversations, it’s also garnered some negative reactions from the Orthodox Jewish Community.

As of the release of My Unorthodox Life season 2 on Netflix on Dec. 2, 2022, Netflix hasn’t indicated whether My Unorthodox Life season 3 will be on the way in the future. However, the series has ranked in the top 10 TV shows since its release, which is a good sign.

Netflix typically announces the fate of its original series about a month after its release, though renewals and cancellations can take anywhere from three to even six months for the streamer to announce. Leading up to those announcements, Netflix looks at the viewership within the first month as well as the completion rate of a season.

Considering My Unorthodox Life is a reality series, there’s plenty more story to tell about its subjects. In the past year, unscripted series and documentary series have been huge draws on Netflix, and it seems unlikely for the streamer to cut one of its biggest titles in the unscripted space.
