Warwick Davis’s iconic character Willow is back in action once again in a brand new fantasy series that fans of the original film and the genre will not want to miss. But can Netflix subscribers get in on the spellbinding adventure?
Davis first portrayed the Nelwyn sorcerer in the 1988 Ron Howard-directed feature Willow along with co-star Val Kilmer. Now the Star Wars veteran actor is back as the titular hero leading another quest with an array of brave companions to stop evil and, of course, save the world.
The cast for the series is a remarkable array of talent, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s Erin Kellyman, Spider-Man-Homecoming actor Tony Revolori and The Serpent‘s Ellie Bamber are just some of the excellent casting choices in the mix for this enchanting endeavor. The show itself was developed by Jonathan Kasdan, whose writing credits include Freaks and Geeks, Dawson’s Creek, and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The show has exceptional scores on Rotten Tomatoes and has been revered by critics like Collider, who called it a “rare treat.” The season will consist of eight exciting entries and takes place years after the movie offering up what some may consider a must-see experience. But is it on the popular streamer?
Is Willow available on Netflix?
The fantasy adventure series would no doubt be something many members of the streaming powerhouse would like to check out. But it will not happen because Willow is not available on Netflix.
But subscribers shouldn’t blame this less-than-ideal situation on evil magic or a treacherous curse. They should also know that there are several fantasy options, like Fate: The Winx Saga, Sweet Tooth, and Shadow and Bone.
