Learning about the mysteries of this world via a Netflix docuseries is something that everyone should do at least once or twice a year. Not only does doing so keep you informed about things you have to see to believe, but it also educates you on how you can help protect the present-day from the travesties that erased most of the past.

To that end, the new Netflix original, Ancient Apocalypse, is the perfect title to watch to achieve this.

Currently trending on the streaming site’s Top 10 TV series list, the 2022 release is already taking everyone by storm, as millions of audiences worldwide are interested to learn about civilizations from long ago. Perhaps you’ll feel the same way, too.

Without further ado, here’s everything to know about Ancient Apocalypse.

Ancient Apocalypse synopsis

From Indonesia’s Gunung Padang to Turkey’s Derinkuyu, Graham Hancock investigates prehistoric communities and locations that are believed to have disappeared without a trace. The determined journalist aims to uncover how these civilizations became reduced to ashes and if there are any remnants of these civilizations that time failed to eliminate.

Hancock’s end goal is to analyze what types of apocalyptic events (if any) may have contributed to the fall of such legendary locations. Be it deadly meteor showers or the spread of human disease; Ancient Apocalypse will explore all possibilities.

As of today, there are eight episodes in the series. Each episode is thirty minutes or so and has an age rating of TV-MA, so younger ones may want to abstain from tuning in.

Lastly, Netflix has neither confirmed nor denied if additional installments of this title will be on the way just yet. But when or if the site does, we’ll let you know.

Now that you know everything there is to know about Ancient Apocalypse, it’s time to head to Netflix to stream every episode.
