When is Lopez vs. Lopez coming to Netflix? (where to watch)

In November 2022, comedy legend George Lopez returned to television in a big way with the new NBC sitcom Lopez vs. Lopez. While the 62-year-old star has had a few guest spots on TV in the past few years, he hasn’t been a series regular on anything since his single-camera sitcom Lopez ended in 2017.

Now the actor is back, and it’s a family affair this time! Lopez will be starring alongside his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez in the series. They will play fictionalized versions of themselves in the series. Additional cast members include Orange is the New Black star Selenis Leyva, The Real O’Neals‘ Matt Shively, and iCarly alum Laci Mosley.

Thankfully, the series proved a hit for NBC and the network renewed the sitcom for a second season back in May 2023. Due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes, season 2 has been a bit delayed, which means it won’t be back on television this fall. However, there’s still some great news for fans because the first season is coming to Netflix in November!

Lopez vs. Lopez release date on Netflix

Although the series wasn’t available to stream on Netflix in November 2022 at the time of its launch, the streamer has now acquired the streaming rights to the sitcom. Lopez vs. Lopez will begin streaming on Netflix on Saturday, Nov. 4. The first season consists of 22 episodes, which will be available starting at 12 a.m. PT and 3 a.m. ET.

Lopez’s latest television series premiered on Nov. 4, 2022 and completed its 22-episode run on May 9, 2023. According to NBC, the second season will premiere in the midseason or summer of 2024, which is a long time to wait for new episodes. Luckily, the complete first season will hit Netflix to help make that time pass quickly with a rewatch. (The series also remains available on Peacock.)

Along with its hilarious main cast members, the first season featured a number of familiar faces as guest stars, including Snoop Dogg, Melissa Fumero, Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Constance Marie, Neil Flynn, Danny Trejo, Gregg Sulkin, Cheech Marin, and more.
