You season 4 is not coming to Netflix in November 2022 (latest updates)

You is one of Netflix’s most gripping thrillers, starring Penn Badgley as the main character Joe Goldberg. The beloved series is based on the books by Caroline Kepnes and was originally a Lifetime show before it was bought by the streamer. Since then, the show’s popularity has only skyrocketed and all eyes are on You season 4 which is on its way.

Unfortunately, we know You season 4 will not be hitting Netflix in November 2022, which might be disappointing to hear. That means it’s been over a year since the show released a new season. But it’s not all bad news here; we have updates to share that might make you excited!

You season 4 release date and cast

As announced at Netflix’s TUDUM event, You season 4 is coming to Netflix in two parts! You can rule out 2022 as a release date, but fortunately, it won’t be long now until the first batch of episodes is released. You season 4 part 1 debuts on Feb. 10, 2023, and season 4 part 2 will follow on March 10, 2023. We also got a release date teaser announcing new cast members, which you can watch here.

You showrunner teases season 4 spoilers

Yes, it’s sad we won’t be getting the release of You season 4 in November, but if you’re looking to fill the void this month, we have something fun to share. Showrunner Sara Gamble is attending a meet-and-greet/Q&A event in Culver City, California on Nov. 5, where she teases “behind the scene tales” and even spoilers for You season 4!

We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any updates from attendees at this exciting event! Maybe Gamble will even share some of the spoilers on Twitter afterward.

Is You season 5 happening?

Fans of the Netflix original remember that You season 4 was announced before You season 3 was even released in 2021. That was a pleasant surprise, and one we hope happens again this time around. At this time, however, the series has not been renewed for a fifth season. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, though. We haven’t heard much in terms of how long the showrunners want the thriller to run for, so it’s possible it’ll continue on with season 5.
