Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is not coming to Netflix in November 2022

We’re patiently waiting for the day Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story arrives on Netflix. Unfortunately, that day won’t be in November because the Bridgerton prequel series is not coming in the upcoming month. Netflix has released the complete list of movies and shows coming in November, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was noticeably missing from the lineup.

We’re not necessarily surprised that the period drama isn’t coming as soon as November because production just wrapped on Aug. 30. Once the show wrapped, it immediately went into the next phase of the filmmaking process, which is post-production. Netflix shows typically spend about six to eight months in post-production before coming out. If Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story were to come out in November, it would have only spent about three months in post-production, which is definitely not enough time.

So, when will the period drama make its way to Netflix? Sadly, Netflix has not announced an official release date yet. However, we might have an idea of when the show could land on the streamer. Read on to find out everything we know about the release date.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story updates November 2022

We’re expecting an early 2023 release. If not an early 2023 release, a summer release at the latest. Anything later than the summer would be unnecessarily long.

Let’s say the period drama spends six to eight months in post-production. We could be looking at a release sometime between February and April 2023. However, it looks like the show could be coming out a little later than April. According to What’s on Netflix, the streamer is looking to release Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story on May 4, 2023. However, the news outlet also reported that Netflix has not confirmed this release date, so it’s not set in stone.

Even though Netflix hasn’t confirmed a May release, there’s still a good chance it could come out then. But, for now, expect the period drama series to land on Netflix sometime in early-to-mid 2023.
