The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 adds Yaya DaCosta as Mickey’s new rival

With production expected to kick off on The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 soon, new cast additions seem to be announced daily. On Oct. 26, Once Upon a Time‘s Lana Parrilla was revealed to have been cast in the second season. Now, it’s been reported that Yaya DaCosta has joined the legal drama cast.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 will be based on the fourth book in Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness. Dailyn Rodriguez joins the legal drama as co-showrunner and executive producer, along with co-showrunner and executive producer Ted Humphrey. Connelly, David E. Kelley, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson are also signed on as executive producers.

The second season will consist of another whopping 10 episodes, and each episode is expected to be in the 40 to 50-minute range.

Yaya DaCosta recently reprised her role as April Sexton in Chicago Med for the medical drama’s eighth season. Previously, she starred as Angela Vaughn in Fox’s Our Kind of People. You might even recognize Yaya from her roles in the movies The Nice Guys, The Butler, In Time, Tron: Legacy, The Kids Are Alright and Whitney. But who will she portray in The Lincoln Lawyer season 2? As reported by Deadline, Yaya will be playing the recurring role of Andrea Freemann. Andrea is described as “a cut-throat prosecutor and Mickey Haller’s (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) undefeated courtroom rival, who is also a friend of his ex-wife Maggie (Neve Campbell).”

With the casting of Yaya DaCosta and Lana Parrilla, The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 is already shaping up to be an exciting season!

When will The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 start filming?

According to What’s on Netflix, production is slated to start on Oct. 31, 2022, and is expected to finish on March 23, 2023. It’s important to mention that the production schedule can change, but this is what it is for now.

When could The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 arrive on Netflix?
