A new trio of episodes has dropped on Netflix as part of Unsolved Mysteries volume 3. The sixth episode of the bunch is all about college student Joshua Guimond, who went missing in November 2002, leaving behind a devastated family and many close friends

Joshua aspired to become a lawyer and maybe even President of the United States someday. Unfortunately, he disappeared after leaving a party on November 9, 2002, and has not been seen since.

What happened to Joshua Guimond?

Joshua Guimond was last seen walking toward his dorm at St. John’s University on Saturday, November 9, 2002. Joshua had attended a poker party with friends at the Metten Court student apartments on the northern side of Stumpf Lake and appeared to be headed back toward his dormitory in the middle of campus at St. Maur House.

Witnesses put Joshua at the party at approximately 11:30 p.m. Several people claim that he left the party not long after arriving, just before midnight. A couple saw someone matching Joshua’s description walking on the bridge in the direction of his dorm around the time Joshua would have been present.

But Joshua was never seen again. Police launched an investigation soon after he was determined to be missing. Stumpf Lake was thoroughly searched, but his body was not found. Almost 20 years later, some new clues have come to light.

Are there any Joshua Guimond case updates?

Ahead of the premiere of the Unsolved Mysteries episode detailing Joshua’s case, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office released a collage of images discovered on Joshua’s computer. You’ll also see the same photos featured toward the end of the episode. These photos are likely linked to the Yahoo! Personals profiles that Joshua was using and communicating with.

Detectives are asking for assistance in identifying any of the people pictured in the hopes that one of them could provide insight into Joshua’s disappearance.

If you recognize anyone in the images at the link or while watching the episode, the sheriff’s office has asked people to submit a tip online or contact Investigator Struffert at the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office at 320-259-3700.

In addition to Unsolved Mysteries, Joshua’s disappearance is also at the center of an ongoing podcast that started in May 2022 called Simply Vanished.
