Based on the comic book character by Ben Dunn, Warrior Nun debuted on Netflix back in July 2020 and was a great hit for the streamer. It didn’t take long for the fantasy series to be renewed for a second season, however fans have been waiting over two years for new episodes.

Warrior Nun follows protagonist Ava Silva (Alba Baptista), a teenager who at the beginning of the series wakes up in a morgue and discovers that she has superpowers. What follows is a battle between good and evil as she joins forces with a group of warrior nuns.

The COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately delayed the second season, as it did with many shows, which is part of the reason fans have been waiting so long to see the addicting story continue. The good news is that Warrior Nun season 2 is confirmed for a 2022 release! We don’t know the exact release date right now, but production concluded back in Nov. 2021.

We initially predicted that Warrior Nun season 2 could debut on Netflix in July 2022, which would mark the two-year anniversary of the show’s debut. Of course, we know that’s not the case, but we at least now have a timeframe for when to expect the new season.

In the teaser for Warrior Nun season 2, it’s noted the new season will drop this winter. We’ll probably be looking at a November or December 2022 release date for this one!
