The Midnight Club has finally made its way to the Netflix library, and we already know Mike Flanagan fans will be binging the new series all weekend. The horror filmmaker is well-known for his shows and movies on the streamer, which include The Haunting series, Midnight Mass, and Gerald’s Game.

Now, we’ve got a new show to check out, co-created by Leah Fong, and this one is geared towards a younger audience. Based on a YA book of the same name by Christopher Pike, along with other works by the author, The Midnight Club follows a group of teenagers living in a hospice facility. When high schooler Ilonka (Iman Benson) gets a terminal diagnosis, she decides she wants to go live at Brightcliffe to transition into her new reality.

Though The Midnight Club is not outright scary, it’s got the creepy vibes you want for an October release.

As expected, many of Flanagan’s frequent collaborators appear in The Midnight Club, including Samantha Sloyan from Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Hill House, and Hush, as well as Zach Gilford from Midnight Mass. Others include Igby Rigney, Annarah Cymone, Matt Biedel, Crystal Balint, Henry Thomas, Alex Essoe, Robert Longstreet, Michael Trucco, and Rahul Kohli.

Though it had been announced Kohli would guest star in The Midnight Club, we didn’t know who exactly he would play and how much he’d be in the show. Until now, that is.

Spoilers ahead for The Midnight Club.

Is Rahul Kohli in The Midnight Club?

If you get through a few episodes of The Midnight Club, you might be wondering where Rahul Kohli is. I’m personally a huge fan of his after seeing him in The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass and was really looking forward to seeing him in the new show. Well, he doesn’t show up until Episode 5, but fortunately, he has a pretty cool role.

A big part of The Midnight Club is the patients getting together each night to tell scary stories, dubbing themselves the midnight club. During one of these events, Amesh (Sauriyan Sapkota) tells a story called “See You Later.” In the story, he plays a fictionalized version of himself, while Kohli plays a video game creator named Vincent Beggs. The two bond over games, and Amesh describes Vincent as a “coder, designer, hotshot, mysterious, genius, rock star, recluse.” He’s a fictional person he looks up to.

Amesh’s story continues almost to the end of the episode, and it’s a really awesome one. Unfortunately, that’s the only time we see Kohli in the show, but at least he’s part of a really fun episode.

Up next, Rahul Kohli will appear in Mike Flanagan‘s Netflix show The Fall of the House of Usher, based on the short story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe and other works by the famous author.

Don’t miss The Midnight Club, with all 10 episodes now streaming on Netflix.
