Bling Empire season 4 updates: Is a fourth season happening at Netflix?

The third season of Bling Empire is now streaming on Netflix, and of course, it didn’t take long for most people to binge their way through the 10-episode season. Now, the question on everyone’s mind after watching another drama-filled season is if there will be a fourth installment. Fortunately, you have us to share all there is to know about a potential Bling Empire season 4.

Bling Empire premiered on Netflix in January 2021 and has seen much success since then. It follows a group of wealthy Asian and Asian American friends living in Los Angeles. The cast has changed a little since the first season but mostly remained the same. However, there have been some cast additions with every new season.

Since three seasons have been released so far, people are expecting a Bling Empire season 4 to be in the works. But is a fourth season happening? Here’s what we know!

Will there be a Bling Empire season 4?

As of Oct. 6, Netflix has not announced any plans for a fourth season. This isn’t a cause for concern, though. It typically takes a month or so for Netflix to come to a decision on a show’s fate. The streamer usually looks at how many people watch a show in the first 28 days of its release. If the viewership numbers are high enough, Netflix might go ahead and greenlight the show for another installment. Of course, there are other factors involved too. Viewership numbers just play a huge part.

If we had to guess when Netflix will make a decision, we’d say in about two months. The first season premiered in January 2021, and then two months later, the show was renewed for a second season. We believe we could be looking at a similar timeframe this time around. This means we could possibly find out if there will be a Bling Empire season 4 sometime in December.

However, there’s a chance a fourth season won’t happen because there’s some behind-the-scenes drama going on between cast member Kelly Mi Li and a producer of the show. According to Bustle, Kelly filed a court complaint in April, accusing a producer of the show of taking her idea for the reality series and not giving her enough credit. She also accuses the producer of not paying her the certain amount they agreed to. With all this legal drama going on, it could lower the show’s chances of returning for a fourth season. But we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Fortunately, we have a Bling Empire spinoff coming to Netflix soon. This gives us something to look forward to while we wait for any updates on a Bling Empire season 4.
