We simply can’t wait to hang out down the street and do the same old thing we did with the previous generation of Point Place teens. That ’90s Show, the sequel spin-off of That ’70s Show, will soon hit Netflix, but the new series won’t arrive in October.
The new series will center on Red and Kitty Forman (Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their roles) taking in their granddaughter Leia (Callie Haverda, playing the daughter of Eric and Donna) for a summer. Once again, these ’90s teens will get up to no good.
Of course, the sequel will also welcome cameo appearances from the main cast. Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis will each reprise their roles. Thankfully, Kunis has been sharing some exciting behind-the-scenes details.
Unfortunately, That ’90s Show won’t be released in October 2022, as the release date was not revealed at Netflix’s TUDUM fan event and the series wasn’t included in the complete list of new release movies and shows for the month. But here’s when we’re expecting the release!
That ’90s Show release updates
According to a new update from TV Line, That ’90s Show could still be on track for a release in late 2022, but a release date in early 2023 is also on the table. As we know, filming on the sitcom has already wrapped, and the 10 episodes are now in post-production.
Historically, Netflix comedies don’t have a lengthy turnaround time, but judging by the packed end-of-the-year original series lineup, That ’90s Show just might have to sit the bench until the beginning of next year. We’ll let you know when Netflix announces the release date.
Are Jackie and Kelso together in That ’90s Show?
While promoting her Netflix movie Luckiest Girl Alive, Mila Kunis has been sharing new details about her reprisal as Jackie in That ’90s Show. First, she revealed that Jackie will be the mother of a teenager in the sequel series (which she wasn’t too pleased with, jokingly of course).
Now she’s potentially revealing who the father of that child might be. In an interview with Access, Kunis teases that Jackie and Kelso are a couple in the new series. Again, the actress playfully “called BS” on the pairing, stating she imagined Jackie and Fez would still be together.
We’ll have to wait and see when That ’90s Show premieres on Netflix. Stay tune for more news and updates on the upcoming series from Netflix Life!
