Outer Banks season 3 is not coming to Netflix in October 2022

It’s no secret that Netflix Original series Outer Banks is one of the most popular shows on the streamer! I mean, what is there not to love? It’s a story full of loyal friendship, cute couples, villains you love to hate, and so much drama.

Outer Banks stars our favorite Pogues Chase Stokes as John B, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Madison Bailey as Kiara, and Madelyn Cline as Sarah.

The first season made its debut in April 2020, and OBX 2 premiered in July 2021. While there was only a little over a year between the first two seasons, we’re way past that point as we wait for the action-adventure to return with its third season. Unfortunately, the series won’t be added to Netflix in October, and there’s still some more waiting in store for us.

When is Outer Banks season 3 coming to Netflix?

There’s good news and bad news. The good news is that Netflix gave us a hint as to when the mystery teen drama will arrive. At the streamer’s TUDUM event, it was confirmed that Outer Banks season 3 is coming sometime in 2023. The bad news? An official release date has not been announced yet. So it could be at any point next year.

We do know that filming has wrapped on the season, but Netflix is still holding on to the hit series a little longer. I would hope we’d get the show in early 2023, during those winter months. Of course, Outer Banks gives off the summer vibes, but I’d rather have one of my favorite shows back than wait for the spring or summer months. I’m sure you all agree!
