Is Grimm starring David Giuntoli and Bitsie Tulloch on Netflix?
By Reed Gaudens
When spooky season comes around, we all love to watch the movies and shows that get us into the spirit. Whether it’s full-tilt horror or supernatural with tinges of chills and thrills, there’s no better time for our watch lists. But any time is a good time to watch Grimm.
The fantasy-horror police procedural draws inspiration from Grimm’s Fairy Tales and centers on a Portland, Oregon homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli). After learning that he’s a Grimm, he takes on a new role as a guardian in the balance between humanity and Wesen.
Grimm’s cast also included Superman & Lois actress Bitsie Tulloch, Russell Hornsby, Jacqueline Toboni, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee. The series proved a niche hit for NBC and lasted for an impressive 123 episodes.
But can fans new and old check out the updated tales of mythological creatures with a procedural spin on Netflix? Where is the underrated series streaming right now? If you’re looking to add it to your spooky season watch list (or just your watch list in general), here’s where you can find it.
Is Grimm available on Netflix?
Sadly, Grimm is no longer available to stream on Netflix. The series formerly streamed on Netflix but was removed due to the licensing agreement lapsing and not being renewed. It’s no wonder since the series is owned by NBCUniversal and only a few NBC-owned shows are currently on Netflix.
Although there’s a chance Grimm could someday find its way back to Netflix should the streamer and NBCUniversal strike up a new licensing agreement, it’s unlikely as studios look to retain ownership of their own series.
But if you’re looking to watch a good fantasy show on Netflix in place of Grimm, make sure to check out Lucifer, Supernatural, Fate: The Winx Saga, The Witcher, Shadow and Bone, and The Sandman.
Where to watch Grimm online
As of September 2022, Grimm is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. All six seasons are included for free with a subscription. Beyond that particular streamer, the season is available for purchase on various streaming on-demand platforms.
