Elite season 6 release date, cast, synopsis, and more

The next installment of Elite is slated to come to Netflix this fall! We’ve received several updates on the upcoming Elite season 6, and of course, you can count on us to share everything we know down below.

After how the fifth season wrapped up, fans are eager to find out what will happen in the sixth season. Is Samuel really dead? What about Rebeka and Omar? Are they leaving Las Encinas? We can already tell it’s going to be an epic sixth season!

Elite season 6 release date

Our initial prediction was that the sixth season would come sometime in the fall of 2022 or in 2023. Well, it looks like we were right because the sixth season has been given a release date in the fall.

On Sept. 26, Netflix dropped a release date announcement video featuring some of the cast of season 6. The sixth season will land on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022!

How many seasons of Elite are there?

There are currently five seasons of Elite that have been created and are available to watch on Netflix. Each season has a total of eight episodes. The eight-episode sixth season is slated to come on Nov. 18.

Elite season 6 cast

Our worse fear regarding the sixth season has sadly come true…  Samuel Garcia (Itzan Escamilla), Omar (Omar Ayuso), Rebeka (Claudia Salas) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) will not be in the sixth season, according to Netflix’s press release.

Samuel’s fate was left up in the air at the end of season 5, but we knew there was a chance he wouldn’t be returning. Rebeka and Omar were his closest friends and their stories had pretty much wrapped up in the fifth season, so it’s not surprising that they won’t be returning either. Lastly, Cayetana was fired from Las Encinas after she got caught sneaking into Benjamin’s office, so her exit wasn’t necessarily shocking.

Elite season 6 synopsis

Here’s the synopsis via the Netflix press release down below:

"After another student’s death, Las Encinas enters a new school year determined to  cover up for its scandalous past. But conflicts continue as racism, sexism, domestic abuse and homophobia run rampant in the halls of the prestigious institution. If those who run the school don’t take action to root out these issues, the students are going to do it for them."
