Ryan Murphy’s The Watcher sets release date for October 2022 (and check out the trailer!)

The Watcher is a mystery thriller created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. It’s based on a true story published in New York Magazine’s The Cut. The story follows a married couple whose dream home turns into a nightmare after they begin receiving creepy letters from a mysterious stalker named “The Watcher.”

Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale star in the leading roles of Nora and Dean. Joining them in the cast are Jennifer Coolidge, Mia Farrow, Noma Dumezweni, Margo Martindale, Terry Kinney, Richard Kind, Christopher McDonald, Michael Nouri, and others.

The Watcher release date

The streamer announced the release date during the TUDUM virtual fan event. The mystery thriller is coming to Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022! You can expect the complete seven-episode season to be released at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on its release date.

It’s rated TV-MA, meaning it’s intended to be watched by adults. It was given this age rating for strong language, violence, and smoking. Overall, it may not be appropriate for ages 17 and under. We recommend watching this series when the kids are tucked in and ready for bed. You’re going to want to binge it in one sitting without any interruptions.
