The Midnight Club trailer, release date, cast, synopsis and more
By Mads Lennon
Mike Flanagan’s new series The Midnight Club is one of the most highly-anticipated additions to this year’s Netflix and Chills line-up. The first teaser and the release date was unveiled at Geeked Week earlier this year. In September, Netflix finally shared images and the full-length trailer for the series.
It’s not too surprising that Netflix is releasing this series in October as Flanagan’s terrifying shows have made their home in the fall months. They’re the perfect way to get Halloween and horror fans invested in the holiday and excited for what’s to come.
This year is especially great for Netflix subscribers who double as horror fans as we also have projects like Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, and Wednesday to watch!

The Midnight Club synopsis
This horror, mystery-thriller series created by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong is based on the Christopher Pike young adult novel of the same name.
The series follows a group of seven terminally ill young adults residing in the Rotterdam Home hospice run by a mysterious doctor. Every night, they meet at midnight to tell each other scary stories. Eventually, the group makes a pact that whoever dies first has to try communicating with them from beyond the grave. But when the first one dies, strange things start happening.
Here’s the official logline:
"At a hospice with a mysterious history, the eight members of the Midnight Club meet each night at midnight to tell sinister stories – and to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond. A new horror series from Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy’s Intrepid Pictures (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass), and Leah Fong, based on the creative work of bestselling author Christopher Pike."
