People are gearing up for Netflix’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story by watching all of the documentaries and films about the notorious serial killer. My Friend Dahmer is a drama film written and directed by Marc Meyers. It’s a movie adaptation of the 2012 graphic novel of the same name by Derf Backderf, who had been Dahmer’s friend in high school until Dahmer began his killing spree.

It details a true story of a young Jeffrey Dahmer’s life in the ’70s before he became an infamous serial killer years later. Ross Lynch stars as Dahmer. Joining Lynch in the cast are Anne Heche, Alex Wolff, Dallas Roberts, Tommy Nelson, Vincent Kartheiser, Harrison Holzer, and many others.
