The new drama movie was helmed by Polish writer and director Agnieszka Smoczyńska from a screenplay written by Andrea Seigel. Smoczyńska is best known for her 2015 horror flick The Lure. In addition, you might recognize Seigel as a co-writer on the Netflix comedy Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie.

The Silent Twins is based on the novel of the same name by Marjorie Wallace. It’s also based on a true story and follows the lives of real-life identical twins June and Jennifer Gibbons, who became known as “The Silent Twins” after they opted not to speak to anyone other than each other for many years.

Black Panther‘s Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance star in the leading roles. The rest of the cast includes Leah Mondesir-Simmonds, Eva-Arianna Baxter, Nadine Marshall, Treva Etienne, Michael Smiley, Jodhi May, Jack Bandeira, Kinga Preis, Amarah-Jae St. Aubyn, Tony Richardson, and Declan Joyce.

Is The Silent Twins on Netflix?

Unfortunately, you will not find this movie anywhere on the streaming service. However, there’s a possibility that Netflix could acquire licensing rights to the film in the future. That’s just not the case right at this moment. If Netflix gets rights to this movie, we’ll let you know.

The drama film is being exclusively released in theaters right now. You can find screenings near you by checking out the movie’s page on the Focus Features website. Although the film is not available for streaming right now, it’ll probably make its way to Peacock sometime after its theatrical release. Also, you’ll most likely be able to buy or rent the film at a later date on services such as Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube, Vudu, etc.
