But unfortunately, it's not streaming on Netflix. Instead, it's available to watch on a rival streaming service. That streamer is Paramount+.

It's absolutely important to mention that you'll need to be subscribed to Paramount+ in order to be granted access to the movie. You have the option to pay for the monthly plan, which is $11.99/month before taxes, or the yearly plan, which is $119.99/year before taxes. It's up to you. Once you make your choice and put in all the necessary details needed to sign up, you should be good to go. You also have the option to rent or buy the film through Amazon Video, Apple TV, Vudu, Google Play, YouTube, or the Microsoft Store.

What is Pearl about?

Pearl is a horror flick directed by Ti West from a screenplay co-written by West and Mia Goth. It’s a prequel to X, which was also directed, written, and produced by West. Additionally, it was co-produced by A24 and Little Lamb Productions.

Mia Goth reprises her role in the prequel as Pearl, but viewers get to see the titular villain’s origin story this time, which is set in 1918. While living on her family’s isolated farm, Pearl dreams of a life of stardom but is held back from pursuing her dreams because she has to take care of her sick father and obey her overbearing religious mother. This causes her to become resentful and filled with hate which ultimately leads her to become a vicious killer.

The rest of the talented cast consists of David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland, Emma Jenkins-Purro, and Alistair Sewell.

If you're unable to watch Pearl, we recommend checking out these other good horror movies currently streaming on Netflix: Thanksgiving, Annabelle, Insidious: The Red Door, The Open House, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the Fear Street Trilogy. You can even watch the first film in the X film series on Netflix, which is X.
