Is The Serpent Queen on Netflix?
Fans of Reign will be interested in the earlier life of Catherine de Medici. The Serpent Queen is that story, but can you stream it on Netflix?
Megan Follows certainly brought the character of Catherine de Medici to life in Reign. It was clear that she’d rose up from nothing—or at least, virtually nothing. She wasn’t willing to lose what she had, and she would do everything she could to protect her children.
Of course, it led to questions about Catherine’s earlier life. It’s time to learn more about that in The Serpent Queen. Samantha Morton takes on the lead role, with Liv Hill playing a younger version of the character throughout the episodes.
This is a chance to find out how a common ended up marrying the King of France. It was all possible thanks to her godfather, who happened to be the pope. How did she cope when she realized her husband was in love with another—someone much older than him? The series is based on the book Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France by Leonie Frieda.
Is The Serpent Queen streaming on Netflix?
Will it be possible to watch the series on Netflix? Sadly, that’s not going to be the case. The first episode drops tonight on STARZ.
This series is a STARZ Original, which means it’s going to air exclusively on the platform. Of course, that doesn’t mean we’ll never get the episodes on Netflix. If the show is successful, we may see something similar to Outlander, which comes to Netflix two years after the season finales air on Netflix.
For now, you’ll need a STARZ subscription to watch the show. The episodes will air weekly on the premium cable network on Sundays.
The Serpent Queen STARZis coming to . Stay tuned for any updates on a Netflix release.
