Monarch is a musical drama series created by Melissa London Hilfers. It stars Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon, multi-Platinum country music singer Trace Adkins, Anna Friel, Beth Ditto, Martha Higareda, Iñigo Pascual, and Joshua Sasse.

It tells the story of the leading family of country music, the Romans. The Roman family is headed by Dottie Cantrell Roman and her husband Albie Roman. They created a country music dynasty together, but underneath all the glamour and success are lies and deceit. The origin story of how the Romans became the first family of country music is a lie. So when their reign as country music superstars is threatened, one of the daughters steps in to protect the family while also ensuring her own stardom.

Is Monarch on Netflix?

Sadly, the musical drama series is not available to stream on Netflix. In fact, it hasn’t even premiered yet. But when it does come out, it won’t be streaming on Netflix. Instead, it’ll be available to watch on a television network.

Monarch premieres on Fox on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT. If you miss the premiere, it’ll be released on Hulu the next day (Monday, Sept. 12). New episodes of the series will continue being released on Hulu the day after they air.
