Best new Netflix shows September 3, 2022

Below are some great shows worthy of your weekend binge.

Devil in Ohio

Devil in Ohio is an original limited series that was released on Netflix on Sept. 2 and is based on the novel by Daria Polatin, inspired by actual events. The series follows psychiatrist Suzanne Mathis who shelters a recently cult escapee in her home. The girl’s arrival puts Suzanne’s life and her family in harm’s way.

The limited series stars Emily Deschanel, Sam Jaeger, Gerardo Celasco, Madeleine Arthur, Xaria Dotson, Alisha Newton, and Naomi Tan.

I Am a Killer Season season 3

The third season of the docuseries I Am a Killer looks into six new cases of prisoners convicted of murder. This series features unparalleled insight into the minds of real-life murderers with first-person killer testimonies and insider access to the prison systems. Each of the murderers featured is sentenced to death or life in prison. The series explores their crimes from the perspective of prosecutors, defense attorneys, investigators, friends, and relatives of the victims.

Fakes

The new Netflix original series Fakes follows two best friends who create, by accident, one of the largest fake ID empires in North America. Told from each girl’s POV, the series follows their rise, where they acquire more cast than they know what to do with to their fall, where they end up raided by the feds. Fakes is a dramedy that shows best friend loyalty is only there during the good times, but when things turn for the worse, neither one is loyal.

Buy My House

In the new reality series Buy My House, homeowners pitch their property to Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman, Corcoran Group CEO Pamela Liebman, NFL Linebacker Brandon Copeland, and investment property magnate Danisha Wrighster, hoping to coax one of them into purchasing the home. Hosted by journalist and fashion designer Nina Parker, the six-episode first season sees homeowners in possession of outstanding and often unique properties who utilize heartwarming stories to negotiate the sale of their homes.

Dated & Related

The latest in reality dating shows, Dated & Related pairs up siblings to aid one another in finding the perfect date. This series sounds like it could go one of two ways, either being the best way to find a date by utilizing the help of someone who knows the real you or the worst, by partnering with the person who will call you out on all your flaws. Either way, it should make for some entertaining viewing in the world of reality dating shows.
