White Noise is an upcoming Netflix Original film written and directed by Noah Baumbach. It’s a film adaptation of the 1985 book of the same name by Don DeLillo. Baumbach is best known for writing and directing the Golden Globe Award-winning movie Marriage Story starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson and the comedy-drama film The Meyerowitz Stories. He is also known for co-writing the screenplay for the upcoming rom-com Barbie with Greta Gerwig.

The drama movie is a part of Baumbach’s exclusive deal with Netflix that he signed in January 2021. The deal states that Baumbach would be writing and producing films for the streamer for the next several years. White Noise is his first project under his deal, and we can’t wait to see what he writes and produces next.

White Noise will be released in select theaters on Nov. 25 and then it will start streaming on Netflix on Dec. 30.

Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig star in the leading roles as Professor Jack Gladney and Babette Gladney, respectively. You might know Driver from his roles in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Paterson, Marriage Story, The Last Duel and House of Gucci. Not only is Gerwig known for co-writing and directing Barbie, but also for her acting roles in the movies Greenberg, Frances Ha and Mistress America.
