By Diana Nosa
Anime fans, we come bearing good news! Netflix and Nippon TV recently announced that they struck a tremendous deal in which the major streaming platform will acquire some of your favorite anime titles.
Yes, you read that right! Beginning Thursday, Sept. 1, Netflix will stream 13 popular anime titles of various genres, which means you’ll be able to have an anime-filled weekend like no other. What’s more, this deal could mark the start of a beautiful collaboration, so you’ll most likely be receiving even more of your favorite series in the near future.
Of course, we’ll be here to inform you which shows are heading your way later this year. But first, let’s fill you in on which titles are arriving later this week.
Anime coming to Netflix in September 2022
Nana fans, get ready to rejoice because this beloved shojo/josei series is one of the 13 titles streaming on Netflix this Thursday!
Before Nippon TV and Netflix’s deal, Nana only streamed outside of the U.S., but thankfully, this is no longer the case for the 2006 series and many others facing the same situation.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, here are all the anime shows and films coming to Netflix as part of the site’s partnership with Nippon TV:
- Berserk
- Claymore
- Death Note
- Death Note: Relight 1
- Death Note: Relight 2
- From Me to You season 1
- From Me to You season 2
- Hajime No Ippo: The Fighting!
- Hunter x Hunter
- Monster
- Ouran High School Host Club
Last but not least, Netflix will re-acquire Parasyte: Maxim, the iconic sci-fi series that many can’t help but rewatch at least once a year. (We don’t blame you!)
We’ll find out what other popular anime the streaming service will add soon enough. But for now, let’s get ready to welcome Parasyte: Maxim, Nana, and much more anime back to Netflix!
