I Came By parents guide: Is the Netflix thriller appropriate for kids?
Netflix knows just what we need before entering a new month. A new thriller film! On Aug. 31, a British movie called I Came By lands on Netflix, and once you find out what it’s about, you’ll definitely want to see it right away.
I Came By is an upcoming Netflix original movie directed by Babak Anvari from a screenplay co-written by Anvari and Namsi Khan. Anvari is best known for helming the horror films Under the Shadow and Wounds. In addition, Khan is known for writing for the TV shows Humans, His Dark Materials and The Midwich Cuckoos.
The thriller flick is about a young rebellious graffiti artist who targets the homes of the wealthy and elite in London. But things quickly go south when the graffiti artist uncovers a dark secret in a hidden basement of a judge, putting him and his loved ones in danger. It stars George MacKay, Kelly Macdonald, Percelle Ascott, Varada Sethu, Hugh Bonneville, and others.

I Came By is rated TV-MA, meaning it’s only meant to be watched by mature audiences. Therefore, it may not be appropriate for kids ages 17 and under. So, it’s probably best to turn on a kids’ movie for your younger kids. However, if you have older children, they should have no problem watching the film. It was given a TV-MA age rating for strong language, violence, and smoking.
