Partner Track season 2 release updates: Will there be another season on Netflix?

Partner Track is now streaming on Netflix, and it’s sure to be your new binge-watching obsession as summer turns to fall. The new series is based on the book of the same name and centers on a young lawyer looking to make partner at her New York City law firm.

Of course, it won’t be so easy for Ingrid (Arden Cho) as she navigates pressures from her family, rocky personal relationships with the men in her life, and a difficult boss. Partner Track also stars Dominic Sherwood, Rob Heaps, Alexandra Turshen, Bradley Gibson, and Nolan Gerard Funk.

UPDATE: Netflix has officially canceled Partner Track. There will not be a second season.

As of the series premiere on Aug. 26, Netflix hasn’t officially indicated whether Partner Track season 2 will happen. The show hasn’t been renewed or canceled, and Netflix will surely be looking at the first-month viewership before making a decision.

However, a new report from Deadline with Netflix’s Head of Drama, Jinny Howe, states that Partner Track “appears on track to get a second season.” This development arrived ahead of any viewership figures, meaning the streamer seems to believe in the new series.

Based on how the first season concludes, the shocking cliffhanger lends itself to a second season. Even though Ingrid ends up with Jeff after a captivating will-they-or-won’t-they, Ingrid discovers his betrayal in the final moments of the season. We have to see what happens after Ingrid finds out and, with any luck, confronts her boyfriend about shadily stealing partner from her.
