Scener and Netflix hosting global watch-party for The Sandman

Can’t get enough of The Sandman? Scener and Netflix are hosting a worldwide watch party for The Sandman with cast and creators Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg, Tom Sturridge, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Ferdinand Kingsley. The party starts on Wednesday, August 24 at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.

Scener is a popular social viewing experience that brings fans and creators closer together for watch parties and Q&A. For The Sandman viewing party, fans will get to watch the show’s acclaimed sixth epsiode “The Sound of Her Wings” together with members of the cast.

As mentioned above, cast members will include Sturridge (Dream), Howell-Baptiste (Death) and Kingsley (Hob Gadling). Plus, Mark Hamill, who voices Mervyn Pumpkinhead in the show, will host the event!

The session will start with a live video Q&A with The Sandman stars, hosted by Hamill. Want to learn more about which film location was the cast’s favorite? Curious about Gaiman’s vision behind the personification of dreams? Get the behind-the-scenes scoop at this special event!

An interactive screening will follow the live Q&A where guests can stream the episode together while using Scener’s social features, like video chat and social messaging, to continue the conversation together and in real-time over synchronized playback.

It’s really easy to sign-up for The Sandman Watch Party. All you need to do is RSVP at thesandman.scener.com and you will get granted access to a virtual theater, custom-built and hosted by Scener.

Create a profile at Scener.com, download Scener’s Google Chrome extension and sign up to get a notification reminder to join The Sandman Watch Party or share with fellow fans and friends. Guests joining from the United States can also download Scener’s mobile app for true two-screen viewing, which automatically syncs with their TV to watch on the big(ger) screen.
