Allison Janney is channeling her inner John Wick for an exciting new Netflix action thriller film Lou coming this September! The actress, who is usually known for comedy and drama roles, is doing something new with this movie and we cannot wait to see her in it.

Not only that, but she’s starring opposite the Black Canary herself, Jurnee Smollet, who has also starred in projects like Lovecraft Country and the Netflix film Spiderhead. Anna Foerster directs the film which is based on a screenplay by Maggie Cohn and Jack Stanley from a story created by Cohn.

If the cast, a female director and female writer isn’t enough to get you excited, how about the fact that Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams is producing the movie? Janney and Smollett will also serve as executive producers alongside Cory Bennett Lewis, Lindsey Weber, Braden Aftergood and Brendan Ferguson.

Lou is coming to Netflix on September 23, 2022 at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET.
