Manifest creator Jeff Rake teases ‘very important’ season 4 news on 828 day

828 day has become a very special day for Manifesters! Of course, all of us fans know the significance of the number. It’s Flight 828, the infamous take-off that sent our favorite Manifest characters and the rest of the passengers away for five and a half years, that’s at the center of the whole show.

The day really became special, though, when Netflix officially saved the series! The supernatural drama was canceled after a three-season run on NBC. When the show was added to Netflix, it took off and held the number one spot on the streaming service’s Top 10 list for almost a month.

While the company initially passed on saving the series, they quickly saw their mistake. With the relentless outpouring of support through the #SaveManifest campaign and the unprecedented popularity on Netflix, the streamer shared the amazing news that Manifest would be coming back for a fourth and final season. And that special announcement was released on, you guessed it, Aug. 28, 2021 — 828 day!

Now almost a year later, we still don’t know much about the season’s final descent. Netflix really is making us wait. But thanks to a video from the brilliant series creator, Jeff Rake, it looks like we’re getting a big update(s) soon!

What could the “very important” Manifest season 4 news be?

In a video, Rake tells us that just like last year, we should be paying attention on 828 day. On Aug. 28, 2022, we’re going to be getting some “very important information.”

So what could this news be? Now is the time to speculate until the big day arrives! I think we could finally be getting a release date for Manifest season 4 part 1 at the very least. If you remember, Netflix ordered 20 episodes for the final season, and said it would be split into two parts. We’re speculating the season could premiere Nov. 4, the day Flight 828 returned home.

We could also be getting an official trailer for the fourth season. Wouldn’t that be exciting!? We already got a sneak peek during Geeked Week, indicating that episodes have begun (and some finished) post-production. The icing on the cake would be the trailer debut, with the release date revealed at the end of the video!
