Dead to Me season 3 and 6 best drama Netflix shows coming in fall 2022

Move out the way, summer! We’re ready for the fall because so many great drama Netflix shows are confirmed and expected to come out. We’re talking about hit shows, such as Dead to Me season 3, Firefly Lane season 2, The Crown season 5 and so much more!

We’ve seen some good shows released in the summer so far, and we’re looking forward to seeing The Sandman, Never Have I Ever season 3, Mo and Locke and Key season 3 very soon. However, the fall lineup is even better, in our opinion.

Netflix is releasing many popular shows at the end of the year, and we’re so excited to watch every single one. Since so many drama Netflix shows are coming out this fall, you might feel overwhelmed. Don’t worry, though. We’ve created a list of the best drama shows coming to Netflix this fall. And, of course, we only shared the best of the best.

Below, you’ll find a list of seven drama shows slated and expected to come to Netflix in fall 2022. We recommend adding them to your watchlist as soon as possible!

Drama Netflix shows coming in fall 2022

We’ll be kicking off the list with the highly anticipated Dead to Me season 3.

Dead to Me season 3

Dead to Me is a beloved drama series on Netflix and we’re more than ready to see how things wrap up in the third and final season. It’s been over two years since we’ve seen a new season of Dead to Me, and it hasn’t been easy. Fortunately, we have confirmation that Dead to Me season 3 will be coming this fall. However, we don’t have a specific date. Dead to Me season 3 could really arrive on Netflix as early as September. If that’s the case, Netflix will likely announce the release date by the end of August. Of course, you can count on us to share the release date for Dead to Me season 3 once it’s announced.

Firefly Lane season 2

Firefly Lane is another Netflix show that we can’t wait to see the return of. The first season premiered on Netflix in February 2021, and people didn’t waste any time binge-watching the entire first season. I mean, Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke star in the leading roles. What more can you ask for? Although Netflix hasn’t confirmed a 2022 release date, it’s expected to make its way by the end of the year. In fact, Heigl revealed on her Instagram that Firefly Lane season 2 would be coming to Netflix in 2022. Since we pretty much know all the summer releases by now, I think it’s safe to say Firefly Lane season 2 will be making its way to Netflix sometime this fall. Like many shows on our list, we’re hoping for a September release.

Manifest season 4

Manifest is one of Netflix’s top series and one of the best drama Netflix shows. There’s simply no debating this. Ever since Netflix picked it up for a fourth and final season, fans have been patiently waiting for the new season to drop. There are 20 episodes total in the fourth season, which will be split into two parts. An official release date for Manifest season 4 part 1 hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to land on Netflix by the end of the year. Since production on the first part wrapped up in April, a 2022 release date is very likely. Many of us are hoping for a November release date. More specifically, we’re hoping the first half of episodes are released on Nov. 4, which is a very significant day in the drama series. We’ll definitely keep you posted on the release date.

The Crown season 5

The Crown season 5 is one of the confirmed fall 2022 releases on our list. The fifth season is coming to Netflix sometime in November 2022. The historical drama series portrays the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II. In the upcoming fifth season, the story will focus on the early-to-mid 1990s. As we get closer to November, Netflix will likely announce the official release date. Fingers crossed, the fifth season is given an early November release.

Alice in Borderland season 2

Before there was Squid Game, there was Alice in Borderland. Alice in Borderland was released on Netflix in December 2020 and was received well by critics and viewers alike. Luckily, fans didn’t have to wait long to find out the fate of the sci-fi drama series. Netflix decided to renew the series for a second season only two weeks after the first season dropped. However, fans have had to wait over a year for a new season. Although the wait might’ve been long, at least we know Alice in Borderland season 2 is coming to Netflix in December 2022. We’ll share the official release date once Netflix announces it.

Warrior Nun season 2

Warrior Nun is probably the Netflix show on our list that everyone has been waiting to see come back with a second season. The first season dropped on Netflix in July 2020 and received mostly positive views. It was praised for its outstanding performances, great choreography, pacing, and unique plot. It only took a month for the show to be renewed for a second season, but it’s taken over two years for Warrior Nun season 2 to come to Netflix. The streamer still has yet to announce a release date for season 2, but it’s confirmed to be coming out in 2022, according to the show’s creator Simon Barry. We should see the release of Warrior Nun season 2 on Netflix somewhere between Sept. 23 and Dec. 21.

Ginny and Georgia season 2

Ginny and Georgia fans are patiently waiting for the day Netflix announces the release date for the second season. Production on Ginny and Georgia season 2 wrapped in April and post-production can typically take up to eight months. So, there’s a good chance we’ll see the second season by the end of the year. Although a release date in 2022 hasn’t been confirmed, it just wouldn’t make sense for Netflix to hold the second season until next year. Post-production for shows like Ginny and Georgia doesn’t usually take that long unless there are delays. We don’t foresee any delays with things pretty much back to normal. We’re most likely looking at a release somewhere between October and December 2022. Of course, we’ll get back to you with the official release date once it’s announced.
