The final weekend of July is upon us, and it’s the perfect time to watch some fantastic Netflix shows. The streamer is ripe with new releases and old favorites to keep you entertained all weekend. Below is an excellent list of bingeable new series and some favorites with new episodes.

Virgin River and Stranger Things still hold tight to the top of the Netflix Top 10 TV shows list. And are joined by Alone, Resident Evil, All American Homecoming, and Alba. 

August 2022 is packed with upcoming releases you won’t want to miss. The hot movies releasing include Wedding Season, Day Shift, and Look Both Ways and the highly anticipated series, The Sandman.

Keep Breathing

Keep Breathing is a Netflix original survival series that has just been released, and it is already sitting at number 2 on the Top 10 TV shows list. Created by Martin Gero and Brenda Gall, this series follows a lone woman whose plane crashes in a  remote wilderness in Canada.

Melissa Barrera plays Liv, a woman who must use her wits to battle the elements and anything else she encounters while trying to survive the plane crash that leaves her stranded over the course of the six episodes of the series.

Additional cast includes Jeff Wilbusch, Florencia Lozano, Juan Pablo Espinosa, and Austin Stowell.

Uncoupled

The new romantic comedy Uncoupled was created and written by Darren Star (Sex and the City, Emily in Paris) and Jeffrey Richman (Modern Family).

Starring Neil Patrick Harris as Michael Lawson, a New York City Real Estate agent who finds himself back in the dating pool after 17 years after being dumped by his partner, Colin (Tuc Watkins), who Michael thought was his soulmate. Now, Michael must rediscover how to date as a single Manhattanite in his mid-40s.

Uncoupled also stars Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, and Tisha Campbell.

Car Masters: Rust to Riches season 4

The reality series Car Masters: Rust to Riches follows the crew from Gotham Garage of Temecula, California, and it is one of the most popular automotive shows on Netflix. The series’ fourth season is now available to stream.

The basic premise is the crew acquires vehicles in which they will give extensive makeovers, modernizing them, which in turn drastically raises their value, then they will either keep or trade up. The garage has also created many props for movies and tv shows over the years.

Blown Away season 3

The third season of the Netflix glassblowing competition series Blown Away is now available. The series features 10 glassblowers competing for a prize package worth $65,000, including a residency at the Corning Museum of Glass.

The setup is similar to most competition series, with contestants being eliminated after each round. The winner will not only have the fame and notoriety of being the best in the competition, but the prize has the potential to set their career on a higher plane. The series is hosted by Nick Uhas with Resident Evaluator and Glass Master Katherine Gray.

Street Food: USA

You’ve watched Street Food: Asia and Latin America now Street Food: USA is here. Like the series before it, USA features interviews with street food chefs chronicling the history of street foods but this time in the United States.

Season 1 of Street Food: USA travels to Los Angeles, Portland, New York City, New Orleans, Oahu, and Miami to see how street food has influenced those regions. This series dives into the culture and diversity of these foods and the heart and soul that goes into making them.
