Keep Breathing season 2: Will there be a second season?

Given the way Keep Breathing ends in the sixth episode, it would be fair for you to wonder how this story might continue. But is Keep Breathing season 2 a real possibility at Netflix?

I would not get your hopes up for this story to continue. Keep Breathing is billed as a limited series, meaning that the six episodes of the survival drama now available on the platform are probably all that we’ll ever get from this particular story.

However, nowadays the phrase “limited series” doesn’t hold much meaning, considering how common it is for networks and creators to continue storytelling if a show is successful enough. Regarding this new show starring Melissa Barrera, the odds don’t seem in its favor to keep going.

Keep Breathing season 2 renewal status

As of right now, Keep Breathing has not been canceled or renewed by Netflix. As mentioned above, it does not seem super likely that the show will get a second season unless it gets remarkable viewership numbers. But even then, it feels like a pretty tight, open-and-closed story.

What could Keep Breathing season 2 be about?

Liv appears to be rescued at the end of the season and we also see a glimpse of what life might look like for her in the future as she has her baby with Danny. If the show did return, perhaps we would get to see how Liv will be as a mother. We could see how she works through her residual trauma from her own mother leaving her and perhaps even meet her mom in person in the present.

There is also room for this show to be an anthology series with another person stuck in a dire situation that leads them to revisit darkness from their past.
