The first batch of Virgin River season 5 episodes might have only just arrived on Netflix on Sept. 7, but fans are already looking ahead to what’s next with questions arising regarding the possible release date for Virgin River season 5 part 2. And we honestly can’t blame them.

Without giving away any spoilers, let’s just say that Virgin River season 5 part 1 ended with a batch of shocking cliffhangers that are sure to keep us talking for the next several months ahead. We can’t say we’re surprised as this show has a history of leaving us on the edge of our seats with its season-ending cliffhangers.

The good news is that season 5 isn’t over just yet as there are still a few more episodes coming fans’ way this season. The bad news is that fans are going to have to wait a few months to see how the season comes to an end!

Virgin River season 5 part 2 release date

If you were taken by surprise when the tenth episode of Virgin River season 5 closed out with a time jump and holiday music, you’re not alone! The ending of the season has left many fans wondering what is going on and the explanation is simple: there are more episodes still to come this year!

While season 5 was not split into two traditional halves, the season is still being broken up into two parts with the first batch of episodes having arrived on Sept. 7. The second batch of episodes will then be released on November 30 with the release of the final two episodes of season 5, episodes that will serve as holiday specials in a sense.

That’s right, the holiday season is coming to Virgin River allowing us to celebrate the holidays with all of our favorite residents. The time jump at the end of episode 10 was designed to help move the story along in setting up the holiday episodes coming in late November.

It’s not yet known how long these two holiday episodes will be, but we’re expecting they’ll likely be around the standard 40 to 45-minute mark. These episodes should address some of the cliffhangers from part 1’s finale while also helping to set the stage for what is to come in season 6!
